Some people say that when writing a poem, there is always a specific target in the author’s mind, that is, to whom the poem is addressed. This is somewhat overkill, but it is true that some good poems do. Although many readers can share the same poem, most of them play the role of onlookers rather than real interlocutors. Some of the specific targets are obvious, some obscure, in addition to others, others can not figure out this is for whom to write. In Adam’s Curse, we see Yeats using a similar approach. This poem has written a dramatic situation, which has three characters, but the author uses the second person, apparently, the poem is talking about his lover.
