Dow AgroSciences recently released its results report. For the second quarter of 2015 (ended June 30), sales fell 8.3% to $ 1,747 million. Adverse exchange rate factors, lower glyphosate sales and missed best product use due to adverse North American weather led to a decline in crop protection product sales. The pesticide ethyl spinosad has boosted sales of new crop protection products by 5%. Selling of the seed business has been declining as the crop planting structure shifted from corn to soybeans and unfavorable exchange rates.
