著名雕塑家、教育家、原中国农工民主党沈阳市委常委、中国农工民主党第九次全国代表大会代表、中国美术家协会会员、鲁迅美术学院雕塑系教授黄心维先生,因病医治无效,于1989年9月29日凌晨4时30分在沈阳逝世,享年83岁。黄心维先生1907年6月7日生于广东省梅县,1929年考入上海中华艺术大学,同年秋考入杭州国立艺术院(后改为国立艺专)雕塑系,并加入进步组织“一八艺社”。他在校师承前辈雕塑家李金发、王静远,苏联教授卡姆斯基、英国教授魏达等,曾在全校雕塑比赛获首奖。1934年秋,以优异成绩于本科毕业,此后又专门学习铸像技术。1942年始在国立艺专任雕塑系讲师。1951年任中南文化部艺
