Founded in 1895, NAM is made up of 12,500 companies and subsidiaries. Its products and production account for 85% of the nation’s total. NAM’s mission is to promote economic growth in the United States and competition in the world market. Manufacturing is extremely important to the U.S. economic growth and competition in the world market. US manufacturing began to recover from the late 1980s and will become the most dynamic sector in the United States in the 1990s. The Association provides information on the latest technological advances to help members continue to modernize and improve their operations in order to increase their competitiveness.
