太古代及其以后的岩生金矿床中,碳酸盐化是一种显著和重要的蚀变作用,它与金有直接的成因联系,利用碳酸盐化及其蚀变组合,还可作为找矿和评价的标志.因此,对岩生矿床中的碳酸盐及其碳质的来源问题,就成了普遍重视的研究课题.本刊发表的《太古代碳的储集层及与金矿床成矿流体来源之间的关系》和《太古代的碳和金》有关太古代绿岩带金矿床中碳的来源及与金矿关系的两篇译文.旨在为从事金矿的研究者提供有关研究新资料,也希望通过它们能引起同行们的关注,并开展一些讨论.从这两篇简短而精辟的译文内容来看,文章作者通过各自的研究,提出了一些相似但侧重面不同的学术观点,即碳酸盐中的碳不是主要来源于单一的海水(碳酸盐沉积物、有机碳和海水热液碳酸盐),而与地幔的脱气作用有关.但澳大利亚的学者比较强调碳主要是来自地幔,并受区域断裂带的控制,海水来源则不是主要的,局部的岩浆来源也不是必要条件.而加拿大的学者则比较重视侵入到地壳中的岩浆熔体的脱气作用,并依据板块俯冲消减带的特征来解释碳的循环作用.作者还特别重视生物有机质在形成碳酸盐中的作用.由此看来,对这一重要而复杂的问题虽然已经取得了很大的进展,但对形成机制均一些具体问题,认识上还表现得不够一致,也许看来对立的观点是互为补充的,这有待今后进一步的研究和论证.
