70mm image has been designed to zoom optical lens system. The system has 20 optical elements with a zoom range of 345mm-1050mm, enabling proper color correction in the visible spectral range. A 4 inch diameter window determines the F number of the optical lens system. With a MacPlus computer stepping motor, the lens system can work. This lens system was designed for the Los Alamos National Laboratory M-8. Since it is not a commercial zoom lens, its magnification should vary from 1/15 to 1/14 at a 5m focusing distance. In addition, large-size, non-standard image frames are required to be recorded with a rotating mirror-type ultra-fast scanning camera. Nikkor lens shortest focusing distance of 6m.
