It is well known that radiation and many chemicals can induce mutations. This article focuses on reports of significant increases in hereditary tumors obtained from X-ray and urea ester treatment of ICR lineages. About 90% of the tumors are induced in the lung, and dominant mutations that appear to have a penetrance of about 40% are inherited genetically.
