为了研究娄衡高速公路白垩系泥质粉砂岩不良工程特性,采用了岩矿分析、物理力学试验、软化试验、崩解试验和风化速度试验等研究手段对粉砂质泥岩试验展开研究.研究结果表明,白垩系泥质粉砂岩矿物成分主要是石英和粘土矿物;随风化程度增加,岩石粘土矿物成分含量增加,活动性强的氧化物含量降低,孔隙率增大,天然抗压强度降低,耐崩解性指数降低,软化系数降低,自由膨胀率增加;岩石最后一次循环风化剥落量是初次循环的近30倍.可见泥质粉砂岩为易软化、易崩解、水稳定性差、抗风化能力低的软质岩,同时风化作用进一步劣化了岩石的工程性质.
