体育学科及其范式下的学校武术更多具有西方体育的物理理性,致使其教育过程难以实现身与心的统一、体与悟的融合以及工具理性下学校武术对青少年的人文关怀。而舒斯特曼的视身体为感觉审美欣赏及创造性的自我塑造场所,并对其经验和作用进行批判与改善的身体美学,是以培养身体意识为核心,并凭其审美的实践哲学,其理论建构中对身心融合的实现、思维方式的重构、美学领域的拓展等经验以及对东方身体文化的汲取均对根治当前学校场域中体育武术的上述痼弊有着极大的指导与借鉴意义。可以说,身体美学视域中对学校武术教育的审视可以实现其在文化自觉中向本真与自我的回归。东西文化交流融合意义上的身体美学是能从根本上改善当前学校武术教育的重要理论。
