数学是抽象性、逻辑性和应用性极强的学科。在小学阶段,小学生认识水平有限,他们对一些抽象的文字、符号的理解会存在一些困难,借助图形把纯文字的解决问题变得直观明了。在纷繁的数量之间,指导学生如何借助于图形的性质将许多抽象的数学概念和数量关系形象化、简单化,恰当地借助直观图形,让数量基于图形“显山露水”。从而达到理解明白、解决问题,锻炼小学生逻辑思维的能力。
