(η~5-Cyclopentadienyl)[η~5-(1-(4-methoxyphenyl)cyclohexyl)cyclopentadienyl]dichloroti-tanium(Ⅰ) was prepared via a modified novel synthetic route:[1-(4-methoxyphenyl)cyclohexyl]cyclopentadiene, from the reaction of 6, 6-pentamethylenefulvene on an equiv-alent amount of p-methoxyphenyllithium, and was treated with n-propyllithium andthen with[(η~5-C_5H_5)_2TiCl_2]_2O, to yield Ⅰ as a dark red solid. The new compound Ⅰ wascharacterized by standard analytical spectroscopic techniques:elementary analysis,NMR, IR and MS. Crystals of Ⅰ, suitable for X-ray diffraction study, were grown from
