教学的直观性原则,是学生掌握知识的认识活动规律的反映,也是学生年龄特征和思维发展特点所要求的。地理直观教学既可以帮助学生增加感性认识,更好地掌握地理基本概念和基本理论;又能激发学生学习地理的兴趣,调动学生学习的积极性。教学时在注意语言准确、生动、形象的同时,还应尽可能利用图片、模型、标本等直观教具,运用幻灯、电影、录像等现代化教学手段,以求最佳的教学效果。为此,地理实物标本的收集、整理和运用非常重要。
