“American Fast Food” McDonald’s and KFC have blossomed in large and medium-sized cities in China. A considerable number of Chinese people often eat hamburgers, chew chicken and coke in a fast paced life. Some more young people also fashion it too! You know, in many parts of the world today, especially in Europe, there is a campaign to abandon the American fast food model, return to a leisurely tradition and promote a slow food culture. The incident was caused by the horrification of an Italian journalist and diet critic named Carl Petrie who witnessed a group of school teachers and students massively chewing hamburgers and launched a “International Campaign to Protect and Enjoy Rights.” Shortly afterwards, Representatives of 20 countries adopted the “Slow Food Manifesto” in Paris and established “Slow Food International.” This organization now has more than 40 countries, including the United States, the home of fast food.
