2013年,平湖市纪委查办了市委宣传部原副部长徐卫林违纪违法案件。经查,徐卫林在担任平湖市曹桥街道办事处主任和党委书记期间,利用职务便利,在土地征迁、项目审批等方面为多家公司提供帮助,非法收受有关人员贿赂共计54.76万元,被开除党籍、开除公职。2013年9月29日,平湖市人民法院以受贿罪判处徐卫林有期徒刑9年6个月,并处没收财产10万元。
