For some time now, Kurdish refugees have become the focus of world debates and have drawn the widespread attention of the international community. The Kurds, the oldest people living in the Kurdistan region of Southwest Asia, are now mainly located in the four countries of Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria. Most Kurds believe in Sunni Islam.
