2004年一季度银行间外汇市场日均成交量与上季度相比出现回落,外汇供大于求,顺差缩小,人民币兑美元汇率保持稳定,升值预期有所缓和。
The average daily volume of inter-bank foreign exchange market in the first quarter of 2004 dropped compared with that of the previous quarter. As the foreign exchange supply exceeded demand and the trade surplus narrowed, the exchange rate of the RMB against the U.S. dollar remained stable and the expected appreciation was eased.
