录像机视频磁头(以下简称磁头)在工作时,以25r/s(8.4m/s)的旋转速度与磁带相接触。磁头的寿命有一定的限度,日本SONY公司提供的数据是五百至一千小时。寿命的长短与工作环境和磁带的光滑度有关。工作环境干净,磁带的工作面光滑,磁头的寿命就长,甚至有可能超过一千小时。反之,则有可能低于五百小时。判别磁头寿命终止的方法有三种。一是使用厂方指定的测量磁头性能的仪表来进行测量判别。二是在监视器上看被测录像机自录自放图像的品质。三是用示波器测试RF波形来判别。下面以SONY公司生产的VO-5850P录像机为例进行说明。 SONY公司生产的SL-5151型视频磁头检查仪表,是专门为检查该公司各种型号录像机用的视频磁头性能的仪表。使用方便、简单,共分A、B、C三档。
