赏识教育在陶行知爱满天下教育思想的理论基础上,建构出自身的体系,是充满了人文思想的现代教育理念。而源远流长的中华古代贤哲思想中处处闪烁着赏识教育的光辉。赏识教育思想萌芽首先扎根于孔子因材施教的思想,以性相近也,习相远作为教育实践的指南,从学生实际出发,注重学生的个性特点,从而实现共同进步、共同发展、共同培养的目的。赏识教育主要是对子女,也包括对学生。对他们的优点及时表扬,会使他们的自信心增强,对健全人格的形成与素质的发展十分有利。
