长久以来关于大学英语的教育方式存在很多争议,原因就在于英语是一门文化背景很强的应用型语言。所有的语言都需要在文化的土壤中萌芽和成长,英语也不例外。由于我国是世界上唯一以自源文字和象形字为主体的国家,缺乏字母符号音义背景,所以很难形成英语背景文化,这对于学习英语来说就是意识上的鸿沟,为了填平认知中的沟壑,英语的教学方式就显得尤为重要。为了更好的指导大学英语教学,就需要理解和分析英语教学与通识教育的关系,本文将围绕二者关系,以多视角切入进行深入剖析。
