随着我国社会主义商品经济的发展和经济信息交流的激增,经济报道已跃居各类报道之首。这些报道又是以经济改革为中心,围绕如何开放、搞活来展开的。第八届全国好新闻评选,入选的231篇(组、幅)作品中,约有70％左右的报道是反映改革的,其中主要的又是反映经济改革的,这也说明了经济报道的地位及其基本任务,它已从传统经济报道中脱颖而出,成为人们共同关心、具有突出社会地位的方面军。
