In 1990 August, in order to celebrate the 60th birthday of the linguist Suzuki Shingen, Makoto published the book “Science of Language (4)”, a collection of monuments of Suzuki Hana Kagura. As the preface states, he is a representative of post-war Japanese linguistics. As early as during his student life, he participated in the Roman Movement and the Esperanto Movement together with his classmates, Miyajima Daifu and Nomura Atsuji, of Tokyo University.
