上世纪末以来,纳米技术取得十分惊人的发展。在纳米材料方面,由于纳米粒子具有许多独特的性能,引起了人们广泛的关注。在应用方面发展尤为迅速,出现了许多冠以纳米的各种材料,呈现出令人眩目的前景,因此有人认为这是一种奇迹,甚至预言将出现“纳米时代”。但是纳米材料和纳米技术的发展有无负面影响,对人类健康、环境和生态有无潜在危害,在奇妙的光环下,却很少有人关注。科学技术的成就常常都是双刃剑。想当年氟氯烃(CFCs)的发明和应用对世界的经济和文明起了多大的影响,但是多少年后却出现了臭氧空洞问题,不得不减少或禁止使用。又如DDT和666对人类带来多大的利益,但是数十年后却不得不禁止应用。因此,对发展潜力巨大的科学技术进展,全面地研究它的发展,从各方面考虑它的影响是十分重要的。最近以来,常看到国外期刊上有关于纳米技术可能带来负面影响的报道,2006年《绿色化学》(Green Chemistry)刊载了3位澳大利亚和新西兰学者的综述文章,从绿色化学的观点分析研究了纳米粒子对人体健康的影响,内容较翔实,全面,现将其主要内容摘报于下,以供参考,并期望在国内的纳米热中引起注意。
