山东大学经过30年的艰苦工作,在晶体材料领域中坚持抓好基础研究(包括应用基础研究),不断探索,刻意创新,先后研制成功近百种功能晶体材料,大部分具有当时国际或国内先进水平。同时,还十分重视科研成果的转化——向高技术产品转化,取得了较大效益,并培养了一批高级研究人才。目前,在该领域已形成研究基地(创办晶体材料研究所研究机构)、人才培养基地(招收硕士生和博士生)、学科建设基地(列为国家重点学科)、基础性研究装备基地(第一批国家重点开放实验室)和高技术产品开发基地(建立了中晶开发公司)相结合的五位一体的良好发展格局。仅国家科学基金项目我校晶体所已获近20项资助(其中重大基金课题3项),经费达100多万元,为五位一体结构的稳定奠定了基础,并促进了我校科研工作的开展。
