A study published in the journal Nutrients showed that a potato-based, non-granular, resistant starch type 4 may short-term lower blood sugar levels. In a clinical study conducted by KGKSynergize, 28 healthy volunteers were selected by Ingredion. The volunteers consumed biscuits (dietary fiber crackers) made from dietary fiber and refined wheat flour (24.1 g total dietary fiber), respectively, and maltodextrin and Refined biscuit (non-dietary fiber crackers) made from flour (total dietary fiber 0.5 g), and subjects’ blood glucose and insulin content were determined.
