本文以东汉“水银沁”铜镜为研究对象,搜集了关於铜镜的合金成份、鎔炼、铸造以及铸後处理等方面的文献和实物资料,综述了有待澄清的问题。对标本进行了化学成份、金相组织、X射线衍射、耐腐蚀性能等分析测试;对标本的表面进行了俄歇电子能谱、X射线光电子能谱、透射电镜以及扫描电镜电子探针等分析测试。认为:“水银沁”镜亦为铜、锡、铅三元合金,属铸态组织,无反偏析层;表面因有极薄的富锡层存在,并形成透明而致密的二氧化锡薄膜,所以表面白亮并且耐腐蚀;“玄锡”是一种包括锡在内并由多种物质组成的材料,可能依靠“玄锡”在镜面磨抛时的擦渗一类作用,使镜面附着了一层极薄的锡。
