讲述时间倒错的方法大致分为两种，倒叙和闪回。倒叙是指作述者在叙述故事的结果或者关键情节之后，再来叙述故事的原因或始末的一种叙事时间安排方法，倒叙的那一部分一般具有完整性和系统性的特点，而且持续的时间性有可能较长。
