U.S. LTV is developing an advanced anti-aircraft missile called the VT-1 under a contract from France. Its bombs are about 2.34m long, with a range of about 0.17m, a flying speed of up to 3.5M and a range of about 10km. The bomb conducted a flight test in February 1988 and successfully validated its performance. The rocket motor of the VT-1 missile was developed by the company of Mortenson-Dow Corning for its Hanseville branch.
