Objective To understand the risk factors of postoperative fungal infection in patients with pancreatic cancer and provide a reference for prevention and control. Methods A retrospective study was conducted to analyze the postoperative fungal infection in 116 patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer admitted to general surgery department from January 2013 to December 2015 in a tertiary care hospital. Results There were 52 cases of fungal infection after operation in 54 cases of pancreatic cancer, the incidence of fungal infection was 44.8% and the infection rate was 46.6%. The incidence of nosocomial fungal infections in 2013-2015 was 33.3%, 51.4% and 47.8% respectively. Patient smoking, antimicrobial application time ≥ 2 weeks, postoperative chemotherapy is an independent risk factor for postoperative fungal infection in patients with pancreatic cancer. Fungal infections are Candida albicans, Candida glabrata and Candida tropicalis. Conclusion The incidence of postoperative fungal infection in patients with pancreatic cancer in this hospital should be given high priority.
