Smad2和Smad4均为位于染色体18q21.1区域的Smads家族的主要成员,是转化生长因子β(TGF-β)信号转导途径中必需的下游分子。通过对子宫内膜癌的研究表明,Smad4作为肿瘤抑制基因,具有促进和抑制肿瘤的双重作用。而Smad2在TGF-β信号转导途径中发挥阻断信息的重要作用。
Both Smad2 and Smad4 are major members of the Smads family located on chromosome 18q21.1 and are essential downstream molecules in the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) signaling pathway. Through the study of endometrial cancer, Smad4 as a tumor suppressor gene, with the dual role of promoting and inhibiting the tumor. Smad2 plays an important role in blockade of information in the TGF-β signaling pathway.
