21世纪进入到第四年,日本海上自卫队造舰计划越来越庞大。2004年4月,日本海上自卫队计划建造的第2代7700吨级“宙斯盾”驱逐舰首舰(14DDG),将开始动工建造,计划于2007年3月服役,用于替换“太刀风”号驱逐舰,编入日本海上自卫队佐世保基地第2护卫队群。此外,该级2号舰(15DDG)也已列入建造预算之中,定于2008年入役。到2008年日本将拥有6艘“宙斯盾”驱逐舰。
In the fourth year of the 21st century, the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force's shipbuilding plan is getting larger and larger. In April 2004, the first-generation 7,700-ton Aegis destroyers planned for construction by the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (KDF) will begin construction and are scheduled to be commissioned in March 2007 for the replacement of “Taijao Feng” Destroyer, incorporated into the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force Sasebo base escort group. In addition, this level 2 ship (15DDG) has also been included in the construction budget, scheduled to enter service in 2008. By 2008 Japan will have six Aegis destroyers.
