Objective: To investigate the effect of GLP-1 and its analogue-Exenatide on lipid metabolism in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods: A 23-day-old SD female SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: PCOS model (n = 60) was established by subcutaneous injection of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) into the neck of experimental group, . To Exenatide and metformin drug (metformin) intervention model rats, automatic biochemical analyzer TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C determination. Results: After Exenatide intervention, the plasma levels of TC, TG and LDL-C were significantly decreased (P <0.01), and the levels of HDL-C were significantly increased (P <0.01). CONCLUSION: GLP-1 and its analogue -Exenatide play an important role in the regulation of lipid regulation in PCOS model rats.
