作为一部主动型英汉双语词典 ,《新世纪英语用法大词典》应用当代语言学各有关分支的研究成果 ,针对我国英语学习者常犯的由语言文化差异而导致的语用失误 ,提供了符合英语国家说话者言语行为习惯的、表述方式得体的大量语言素材。同时还从不同的侧面尽可能多地通过例证反映英语国家的文化价值观和社会习俗。正因为如此 ,这部辞书对于英语学习者跨文化交际能力的培养颇有帮助。
As an active English-Chinese bilingual dictionary, “New Century English Dictionary of Usage” applies the research results of all branches of contemporary linguistics. In response to the pragmatic failures caused by the differences in language and culture among English learners in our country, English speaking countries language habits, the language of a lot of language appropriate presentation. At the same time, we try our best to reflect the cultural values and social customs of English-speaking countries from different aspects as much as possible. Because of this, this dictionaries are quite helpful for the cultivation of intercultural communication skills of English learners.
