Objective To introduce 18F FDGET in the clinical diagnosis of central nervous system diseases. Methods A total of 17 patients underwent 18F-FDG PET examinations. All patients underwent 18F-FDG positron emission tomography (PET) 40 minutes after intravenous injection of 18F-FDG 10mCi. The results were in good agreement with those of CT, MRI and EEG Compare. Results Of the 10 patients with interictal seizures, 18F-FDG PETET showed that 40% of patients had local lobular glucose metabolism, ie, low FDG uptake (more than 20% decrease in normal contralateral cortical radioactivity), 50% of cases Normal glucose metabolism; cerebral infarction, traumatic brain injury after 18F FDGET showed a significant loss or defect of local cerebral glucose metabolism, and the remaining multiple sclerosis, multiple small abscess, arachnoid cysts are manifested as normal brain glucose metabolism. Conclusion The preliminary clinical application shows that 18F FDG PETET has important clinical value in the diagnosis of central nervous system diseases
