The standardization of Chinese is not yet widely known. I want to talk briefly about what is meant by the standardization of Chinese. Let’s talk about normalization first. This is the meaning of setting a standard. Take the example of simplified Chinese characters discussed in the recently held National Text Reform Conference. The Chinese character simplified scheme has selected some simplified characters. These simplified characters are used as a standard and used consistently on the printed matter after they have been passed and published. No matter who he is, as long as he demands that the written word conforms to the standard, he must write it in the published font. The Chinese character simplification scheme sets a standard for simplifying the word, so it is called standardization. Talk about the standardization of Chinese. Chinese is the language of the Han people. Historical phonologists, exegesisists, linguists, and modern linguists have all demonstrated that Chinese is a whole and is commonly used by the Han people. Due to the large population and vast area of residence, differences in dialects are quite complicated. However, despite the differences, the change in the clutch does not exceed the scope of the entire Chinese system. A person lives in his hometown and all his contacts are local people.
