With the widespread use of hormonal contraceptives (referred to as CH), its impact on the human body, especially the damage to genetic material, has drawn increasing attention. The impact of CH on human chromosomes has been reported, but there are conflicting conclusions. The purpose of this paper is to further clarify the possible damaging effects of CH on human chromosomes. The authors performed a chromosomal aberration analysis of 44 peripheral blood lymphocytes from CH and 44 women who had never used CH. Women in CH group (observation group) and control group were all aged 16-35 years old, with no history of exposure to toxicants or radioactive materials. Peripheral blood was taken for 48 hours after culture in M150 medium containing calf serum, and Gimesa was stained
