Along with the ecological problem has increasingly become the focuses of everyone,people focus on the ecological ethics theory and the real life,put forward the "ecological practice".The so-called ecological practice is simply based on the ecology principle,internal control of the overall ecological environment,is human activities about the harmonious development of man and nature as the value of termination,about the pursuit impetus of the quality ecological environment.Holmes Rolston Ⅲ is an important philosopher in the history of the western ecological philosophy,becomes one of the leading people that marked up Western eco-Ethical Thought.Holmes Rolston absorbed the thought of previousecological ethics and advaced the ecological ethics of "wilderness",opened the climax of the study on ecological ethics in 90 ’s.Holmes Rolston’s ecological ethics has the characteristics of abundant practice,the paper analyzes and studies Rolston’s ecological ethics from the dimension of ecological practice.The first chapter is the introduction,morely explains the basis,the background and significance of the research,mainly explains the review of the research on Rolston’s ecological ethics at home and abroad.The second chapter analyses the reason of Rolston’s ecological practice from the social background and ideological resources.The third chapter focuses on the connotation and characteristics of Rolston’s ecological practice.Rolston’s ecological practice based on the principle of ecology,"obey the ecological law"as the center,"defend the integrity of all life in the ecological system"as the principle,"to have a reciprocal and opposition relationship " between man and nature,is ecological practices of"follow the laws of nature,ecological integrity and respect for diversity".The fourth chapter discusses the view of Holmes Rolston’s ecological practice from the dimension of human,ethics and method.The fifth chapter analyses the limitations and implications of Holmes Rolston’s ecological practice.From the research of Holmes Rolston’s ecological practice and its contemporary value,fully demonstrat that Holmes Rolston has the deep and philosophy view of ecological practice,help to speed up the "practice" and "localization" process of the ecological ethics’s implementation,seek the thought resources and the concept of support for building the chinese ecological ethics,provid necessary reference and play a positive and constructive role for the construction of socialist ecological civilization.
