  海洋生物污损产生的危害主要表现为缩短维护周期,提高作业成本,增大CO2排放,影响设施安全,缩短维保间隔时间,妨碍海洋经济活动。另外,污损生物还会堵塞养殖器具网孔,妨碍养殖对象的生长发育,降低水产品质量。为有效地减少污损生物危害,人们针对设施类型和用途的差异,采取了机械清除、倒笼曝晒、电解防污、添加杀生剂和使用防污涂料等方法。而传统的防污涂料是在其表面形成毒料浓度层毒杀海洋生物幼虫和孢子,存在着危害海洋生态环境、甚至通过食物链影响人类健康的潜在风险。

基于2014年1月(枯水期)珠江口海域生态环境调查数据,分析该海区的理化因子对夜光藻赤潮爆发的调控机理以及赤潮的爆发对珠江口浮游植物群落结构和组成的影响.研究发现,导致本次夜光藻赤潮发生及消亡的主要因素为1月份以来气温回暖和骤降.海域内营养盐含量较高,富营养化程度严重,其DIN平均含量为0.69 mg/L,PO4-P平均含量约为19.0 μg/L,SiO3-Si平均含量为0.74 mg/L.
