  The synergistic effect generated by the cooperation of simultaneous dual-wavelength excitation of near-infrared(NIR)and ultraviolet(UV)light in rare-earth doped nano-particles(NPs)is of vital importance for improving solar cell efficiency,which could overcome the sub-bandgap absorption of NIR and decrease the thermalization losses in UV light.
