　　The genus Chlorencoelia is a member of the subfamily Encoelioideae (Helotiaceae, Helotiales).It was erected by Dixon as a segregate of Chlorosplenium in 1975, and typified with C.versiformis.Three species are currently accepted in the genus, i.e.the type species, C.indica and C.torta.
