Cells synthesize triacylglycerol (TAG) and store them in lipid droplets (LDs) as energy resources and membrane phospholipid precursors.Individual products from the triglyceride synthesis pathway play important roles in eukaryote biochemistry and physiology functions from cell membrane construction, immigration and maintaining cell polarity.Here we found that a glycerol phosphate acyltransferase MrGAT of the entomopathogenous fungus Metarhizium robertsii.
