objective To investigate the effect of weight change on bone mineral density in ovariectomic rat.METHED Forty 6-month-old Wistar female rats were randomly assigned to the sham surgical group and ovariectomic group.The weight,the bone mineral density and the bone mineral content of femur were measured after 8 weeks of operation.RESULT The body weight of ovariectomic group increased obviously and was statistically different compared to sham surgical group since the 3rd weeks after operation.
