There are many promoters that can transcribe in two divergent directions in rice genome.It is convenient to apply a bidirectional promoter in genetic engineering to drive the expression of two transgenes simultaneously.In this study, we have found a strong bidirectional promoter in rice by several bioinformatics analyses in databases such as Collection of Rice Expression Profiles (CREP), RNA-seq in RAPDB and MSU.
