Slovakia with a 400 ths sheep population is an important exporter of slaughter lambs to EU countries (about 80% of light lambs are exported).At present,consumers tend to show a higher interest on quality and healthly products.The objective of this study was therefore a complex analysis of carcass quality and fatty acid profile of intramuscular and extramuscular fat in light (carcass weight less than 13 kg) and heavy carcass lambs (carcass weight more than 13 kg).
