To investigate the thyroid function of 423 diabetic patients who visited the 17th Hospital from October 2009 to June 2011, 299 patients underwent thyroid ultrasound examination. Results (1) The prevalence of thyroid disease in diabetic patients was 43.27%, of which 26.36% (clinical hypothyroidism 8.55%, subclinical hypothyroidism 18.11%) and hyperthyroidism 16.91% (clinical hyperthyroidism 10.61 %, Subclinical hyperthyroidism 6.30%), low T3 syndrome 6.11%. (2) The prevalence of thyroid disease in diabetic patients was higher than that in men, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions Diabetes and thyroid diseases are common endocrine and metabolic diseases. The coexistence of the two is not uncommon. Sometimes the symptoms overlap and affect each other. Thyroid disease can speed up the process of diabetes and promote the occurrence of some chronic complications. For patients with diabetes mellitus and thyroid diseases, Both disease and disease.
