Molecular imprinting is a technology in which specific recognition sites are formed in a polymer matrix by synthesis in the presence of the template molecule which results in the formation of specific recognition cavities complementary to the template in shape and chemical functionality[1-3].Here, the epitope, special sequences on the protein recognized by the antibodies, was applied as the alternate of the protein to overcome the difficulty in obtaining the pure protein as the template.Self-assembly, instead of synthesis, was applied as the material fabrication way.In this study, transferrin epitope-imprinted polyethersulfone (PES) particles were prepared by means of polymer self-assembly technology, liquid-liquid phase separation. The self-assembly particles were 2-3 millimeter, which was depends on the PES concentrations in the pre-assembly solutions. The imprinted novel PES particles had a porous structure with a skin layer.
