Human immunodeficiency virus type-l(HIV-1) infection is still one of the most serious infectious diseases across the world.HIV-1 virion infectivity factor (HIV-1 Vif), one of the six accessory proteins of HIV-1, could be idea target for design and development anti-HIV drug.The research of HIV-1 Vif, which is a transmembrane protein and has a strong hydrophobicity, contributes to a better understanding of research and prevention of AIDS.HIV-1 Vif 158, which contains HCCH Zn-binding motif, plays an important role in regulating HIV-1 replication and infectivity.The rHIV-1 Vif 158 expressed in E coli by genetic engineering, exists as insoluble and non-active form of inclusion bodies.The inclusion body of rHIV-1 Vif 158 is difficult to dissolve in the 8 mol/L urea, easy to form a polymer and precipitation, so there are many problems to renature and purify the aim protein.
