Lepistine was isolated from Clitocybefasciclata by Laing and coworkers in 1975.The structure of lepistine was elucidated by an X-ray crystallographic analysis as a tricyclic compound, consisting of an aminal moiety and an ether bridge.Details of our synthetic studies on lepistine will be discussed.
