Myostatin is a potent negative regulator in regulating skeletal muscle development.The muscle mass was dramatically increased as evidenced by hyperplasia and hypertrophy in both animals and human due to loss of Myostatin function.However, the functional role of Myostatin in early embryonic myogenesis is completely unknown.In this study, we explored myostatin function in regulating embryonic myogenesis by temporospatially examining myostatin expression in both chick and mouse embryos.
