Sumanene, a C3v symmetric pristine structure of buckybowl, has been interested in relation to the corresponding fullerenes and carbon nanotubes chemistry[1,2].Recent development of synthetic methods realizes the preparation of various types of substituted sumanene derivatives, which have opened the door to both fundamental and applied research.
