Objectives: To evaluate the consistency between the facial profile and the lip profile esthetics in young females.Methods: 48 female patients were included in this study.All subjects were aged from 18-25 years old,yellow race and with bilateral face symmetry.20 orthodontists and 24 orthodontic patients were asked to perform two Q-sort assessments of esthetic evaluation on pictures of these 48 young female subjects.The two sets of pictures were as follows: the whole facial profile and lip profile only when resting.The evaluators aslo ranked ten characterstics at the completion of the facial part.Correlation analysis was done on the scores.
